What is Article Marketing

What is Article Marketing
By Peter Nisbet

Article marketing is a means of using articles to generate traffic to your website. You achieve this initially by writing articles containing useful content, relevant to the topic of your site, and then submitting them to article directories. If your writing is sufficiently compelling, readers will want to know more about what you have written, and will click on the link you provide to your website.

Article submission does two things. Firstly it provides you with the opportunity to persuade the reader to find out more from your website, as inferred above, and it also provides you with a one way link back from the article directory. The higher the page ranking of the directory, then the more credit the search engines will give you for the link. Engines such as Google take your link popularity as a significant factor when calculating where your webpage should be listed in the index for the specific keyword your page relates to.

Your Article Must have Merit

However, it does not stop there. Should the visitor consider that your article is of sufficient merit to warrant them using it as content on their own website, they are entitled to copy it so long as they include your name as author, and your authors resource box, complete with webpage URL. You then get a one way link back from all the sites that use your article, and also visitors that click on your link from these sites.

Thats the theory, but how about the practice? In fact it is slightly more difficult that that. The article has to be well enough written to be accepted by the directories first, though from what I have seen that is not too difficult. Some directories are quite liberal as to what they call writing. It is not the directories that are the problem, it is the readers. People have a certain standard that they expect of internet writing, and if they feel that it is not met then they will click away from the article.

Dont Try to Fool the Reader

The article must also be of interest and relevant to the theme. You dont get people clicking to visit your website unless they find your content of interest and feel that your website could be of potential use to them. So write about what you know, and dont try to fool anybody. Many people who access your article will know more that you about the topic, and will spot any inaccuracies immediately. Be accurate and try to provide information that will help them. Visitors to your website want to be helped, have a question answered or a problem solved.

Your resource box is also important. Dont say too much about yourself: readers are not interested in your life history. Just tell them that they can find out more on your website. Provide them with a link a page in your site that deals exactly with what you wrote about and preferably with the same title, so that when they get there they will start reading.

Use Anchor Text where Possible

If you provide a link to a page within your site, rather than just the home page, it is regarded as of being more important to a search engine, especially if that link is provided by means of anchor text. That is text that indicates the topic of your web page, rather than being just a URL. You can do this if html is allowed. If you dont know how to use html, just write something to the effect more information on this topic can be found on my web page This Topic.

Write that exactly, inserting your own website and page URL, and your resource box will have This Topic as a clickable link. The search engines will associate your web page as being connected to This Topic, and that will improve the listing of that page.

Article marketing is a powerful way of using articles to promote your website, increase your traffic, and improve your search engine listings. Do it well, and you will see a significant difference in traffic to your site.

What is the Big Picture With Article Marketing?

What is the Big Picture With Article Marketing?
By Sean Mize

So what is the big picture with article marketing? We have easily established that article marketing can be used to drive traffic to your web site, or it can be used to create backlinks to your web site that in turn help you gain high search engine rankings, which ultimately results in more traffic to your site, or it can be used for both. The end result, however, is traffic generation.

However, article marketing is also useful for creating awareness online and giving you much needed exposure. Have you ever typed in someones name in a search engine to see how popular they are? If you are regularly submitting articles, you should gain heavy name recognition. Sometimes someone will say to me, I just keep seeing your articles all over the place and of course that is what you want.

The more often someone sees your name in print, the more they will associate you with your niche. The more they associate you with your niche, the more they will trust you. And the more they trust you, the more they will buy in the long run.

Article marketing, when done correctly, can create the feeling online that you really know what you are talking about of course for that to happen, you have to know what you are talking about. But once you start doing the necessary research to write informative articles on your topics, you will find that your knowledge level does go up and the more you write, the more comfortable you will feel with both your writing and with the content itself.

5 Mistakes that Could Kill Your Article Marketing Strategy

5 Mistakes that Could Kill Your Article Marketing Strategy
By Dan Theta

Article marketing is a well known strategy for bringing targeted traffic to a website, when done correctly. But if you don't understand the basics, then it will all be for nothing. Your business could suffer greatly if your article marketing strategy is flawed.

Here are five common mistakes you must avoid:

1. Boring Titles

It doesn't matter how good your article marketing strategy is if nobody is interested enough to read your articles. The title is the first thing potential readers see, and if it doesn't interest them in a few seconds consider them gone. Make sure you spend a little time on a title that will pop right out at people. You need to catch their interest in the very beginning in order for them to read your article.

2. Not Thinking About Your Readers First

Your article internet marketing strategy is all about your readers. You want them to read your article, check out your resource box and visit your site. Give them what they want, and make sure they get some useful information from your articles.

3. Not Having a Target Audience

A common error in an article marketing strategy is writing your article without thinking about who will be reading it. The article suffers as such because it was written for a general audience instead of a specific one. The more successful article marketers already have a clear idea of their targeted readers. This way your article caters to your target audience's interests more.

4. Not Using Spell-check and Grammar-Check

Maybe the article you wrote is really helpful and is sure to bring in more traffic. But you spelled a word incorrectly. No matter how minor it is, it always puts a dent in your readers' respect for you. As such, your image as an authority and your article marketing strategy suffer. So take a little time to check your spelling and grammar before distributing your articles. It will be well worth it.

5. Spamming the Internet with Your Articles

Sometimes internet marketers may get desperate. So instead of focusing their article marketing strategy on their target audience, they'll try and market to anyone and everyone. They try to get their articles published in all kinds of newsletters and ezines, but eventually the owners catch on to their spam. There goes a lot of time and effort. You may also lose your credibility with these kinds of actions.

Having an article marketing strategy is a very popular way of generating traffic, and for good reason. Keep working to avoid these mistakes and you will see results.

What is the Future of Article Marketing?

What is the Future of Article Marketing?
By Sean Mize

I get questions a lot from people who ask me how much do I have to rewrite an article for it to be original?. If you didnt start laughing, reread that until you do. If you simply do not see the irony, ask your 5 year old kid they are less hardened than we are.

Hmmmhow much do I have to rewrite an article for it to be original? No brainer.

But I think that what they are really asking is, how much do I have to rewrite an article for the search engines to think it is original?

And this is what I tell them: I cannot give you a number, because it would go against my character. You see, if I tell you 40% of your content must be changed then maybe that number is good for today, but what if you write 100 articles like that and then in 6 months the search engines raise the standard to 50%? You would lose all the articles you have written in the past 6 months!

So now you start over again and six months later it happens again!

Look, my opinion is this why not just write 100% original articles, and perhaps those articles will still be generating income for you several years from now?

So what is the future of article marketing?

This is my prediction: At some point in the future, and whether it is 6 months from now or 6 years from now, I do not know, but at some point in the future, the search engines (or really the mathematicians who work for the search engines) are going to come out with an algorithm that eliminates 95% of all content on the web because it is going to be so good at detecting rewriting, duplicate content and plagiarism.

Guess who the 5% that are left are going to be? The little people who took the time to write original articles. They are going to win the search engine battle and most of them wont even know why. They will just be happy when their traffic goes up 20 times over night.

Article Writing And Marketing How To Turn Your Words Into Prospects Publicity And Profits

Article Writing And Marketing - How To Turn Your Words Into Prospects, Publicity And Profits
By Jeff Herring

Article writing and marketing has been very good to me. And when you do it right, it can be very good to you too.

I never finished the dissertation for a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy because I had convinced myself I could not write. That was sometime in the mid 80s.

Around 93 I wrote a couple of articles for the newsletter of the local hospitals psychiatric center, based on a couple of presentations I was doing regularly. Then in 94 I began to write a weekly column on relationships, parenting and stress for the local newspaper.

Little did I know where all this was taking me.

Prospects, Publicity, Profits

No matter your niche, when you turn your expertise into words, your words bring you more prospects, publicity and profits.

Every time you write an article and submit it to the article directories, you have commissioned another 24/7, 7 days a week, international sales agent that never rests.

New prospects come to your web sites. You get more publicity as you become more well known. As your new prospects learn to know, like and trust you, they become regular and repeat customers.

If you knew you could have as many 24/7, 7 days a week, international sales agents that never rest out there working for you, for free, just how many would you want?

And oh, by the way, there will be those that try to come up with multiple reasons why this does not work and therefore you should not do it. They are wrong. Just give them permission to think that way. Your job is to keep turning your words into more prospects, publicity and profits by writing more and more articles.

Article Marketing Don't Mean a Thing If It Don't Get Published

Article Marketing Don't Mean a Thing If It Don't Get Published
By Daryl Campbell

You probably know the benefits of article marketing already.

a. More web traffic
b. Backlinks to your site thereby growing your link popularity
c. A built in marketing viral campaign
d. Establishing yourself as a expert.

And countless others. Even with all the new tools like video and bookmark social, article marketing remains one of the best and most cost effective ways to reach people online and profit your internet business. But it don't mean a thing if you don't get published.

True different article directories have different criteria and some for whatever reason are pickier than others. The point is there are things within your control that can increase the chances of your articles being accepted and published on a regular basis.

1. Check it and then check it again.

All of us would love to turn out the perfect article the first time every time but writing is rewriting. Not just throwing out what you don't need but also proofreading for any spelling and grammatical errors. Even if you happen to get published, the refusal to check your own work makes you look unprofessional in the eyes of your readers. That is very detrimental since one of the perks of article marketing is to be recognized as an expert. Read the article out loud or let someone else read it. Using any type of word processor can help considerably.

2. They don't want a sales page

Article marketing is an incredible form of free advertisement. The mistake comes when some writers confuse providing useful quality content with a sales page. If you want a guaranteed rejection email from an article publisher then write a sales letter masquerading as an article. Leave the advertising to your resource box. If you have given the reader quality information than it stands the reason they will want to find out more by clicking the link in your byline. Most publishers allow a 4 to 5 line resource box. It may not seem like much but a well crafted byline can be a very powerful advertising tool. Keep it brief while still urging your readers to take action.

3. So what are you saying?

If you are writing on a topic and you have five major points you want to make then write five different articles. When writing for an online article directory each article should have one theme presented in a clear, simple and direct manner. Even if your article is free of spelling and grammatical errors or blatant advertising, publishers can reject it on the grounds that they don't have a clue as to what you are talking about. Don't kid yourself. Many of the best directories have very strict standards that are enforced by people who actually read the articles. Try also to avoid making references that only a select few would appreciate but have the rest of us including the publishers scratching our heads. Remember you want as many people as possible to read (and understand) your article so: keep it simple, make it clear, and talk direct.

The goal is to build your own article marketing system that can turn out good content on a regular basis. Article publishers know exactly what they are looking for so stay focused on the 3 things we discussed. Keep publishers as well as your target audience happy and you are well on your way to more web site traffic and extra profits in your account.

Article Marketing and Article Marketing Services

Article Marketing and Article Marketing Services
By Jonathan Holloway

If your into article marketing then I am sure you have heard of these article submitters that claim to submit your article to a large number of article directories in a short amount of time. These article submitters can either be computer programs or article directories that offer to distribute your articles for a fee. These sites and programs make claims for astronomical gains in traffic to your web site. Who can you trust?

The truth is that these article submitters and article distribution services do not work as well as their sales letter say they do. About a month ago I tried a trial article submitter software and submitted my articles to numerous directories. I also paid a small fee for one of my articles to be distributed to over 120 article directories. The results are in and, my web site has not been flooded with an insane amount of traffic.

Could this be because of the rise in population of article submitters? Many web sites on the list have been closed due to spammers using this software to post junk on hundreds of article directories. Many article directories have had to stop accepting articles in order to catch up with the approval of current submissions. Does this sound like a marketing practice that will give you astronomical gains? The great thing about article marketing is that it is free! You should not have to pay to have your articles seen by thousands of visitors.

Try narrowing it down do about 5-7 high traffic article directories. Doing this will let you submit your articles knowing they will bring you traffic without taking up all of your time. Submitting articles to a few high traffic article directories is better than submitting to a hundred low traffic article directories. Focus your efforts, save your money, and try not to buy in to the hype that these article submitter companies are selling.

Article Marketing Key Words and Long Tail Theories

Article Marketing, Key Words and Long Tail Theories
By Lance Winslow

The long-tail theory for article marketing is quite simple really. It states that the top key words in every category are those most people use in their articles and most people use to search with, yet all those secondary key words from lets say 5-15 down the list will give you less competition and more traffic because of this.

It works and I am a pretty good example of this with 2.5 million article views. In fact I have even gone so far as to peruse industry websites, right click their source codes and look at their meta tags and key words then I make titles using those and filter them into the articles I write to increase traffic. Now, obviously I do not do this with every article anymore, especially when I write 50-70 articles in a 12-hour day, but over time you get the feel for what all the secondary words are.

For instance writing about Hurricanes. I will use Hurricane Hunters, NOAA, satellite, tropical depression, tropical storm, Cape Verde, Leeward Islands, bay, gulf of mexico, storm surge, Saffir-Simpson scale, Miami Hurricane Center, Hurricane Authority, Weather Channel, Island, Caribbean, etc.

Everyone else goes for Hurricane Florence sure and your will end of on page 2 or 3 on google and no one will see it. Well sure some people will, but a lot less than;

NOAA Reports Tropical Hurricane Florence Brushes Bermuda; No power confirmed Weather Channel and Hurricane Hunters

Then an article of 260-300 words of all the most popular second and third tier words. You know once you put these in your vocabulary and get use to writing them; they come natural anyway in your speech and articles too.

Proof? Sure; today I have: 2,498,870 articles views right now, look at the clock and at 6,000 to 10,000 per day (24-hr. period) that means I will pass the 2.5 Million article view threshold on this 13th day of September 2006. Consider all this in 2006.

Article Marketing FutureWhat I Think 2007 and 2008 Hold for Article Marketing

Article Marketing Future-What I Think 2007 and 2008 Hold for Article Marketing
By Sean Mize

Before I get into the future of article marketing, let me first talk about the past history of article marketing. In fact, let me go back even further. Over the last few years, as the internet has made many people millions of dollars each, people have tried to find easier and better ways of making that money. For example, when email marketing became popular, people began to abuse email marketing, sending millions of unsolicited emails daily, raking in large fortunes doing so. Now it is practically impossible to do that, and it is even more difficult to be an honest email marketer.

Next came advertising when pop up and then pop under ads came out, many people made fortunes advertising using them, then they became overused and their effectiveness fell apart. The same thing has happened with the pay per click programs my opinion on those right now is that the people making the most money with ppc programs are the ones who are selling templates for web sites!

Another area of incredible profits over the years has been search engine marketing taking different measures to get your web site into the top ten for a particular keyword. The search engines have done an incredibly effective job of eliminating junk and computer generated content from the top ten results.

Now, people online are often looking for good, original content, since they cannot computer generate it and make it pass for search engine worthy content. Enter article marketing. Many web sites are willing to take your content, personally written by you, and use it as content for their web sites. Because this was an incredibly easy way to get around the content problem, article directories popped up like crazy over the years, with their peak proliferation in 2006. Literally hundreds of article directories popped up, trying to get people to submit content to them.

The result of that has been interesting. Most of the web sites that were created for that purpose, are in my opinion, only good for creating multiple back links to your own web sites. Of course, since that is highly important, the web sites continue to grow with original content. But what has happened is that a few article directories have kind of risen to the top of the article directory chain, achieving pageranks of 6 or 7, creating an interesting place in terms of search engine optimization techniques, and an easy way to get your own url listed on a pr 6 or 7 page. Even more important than that, I think, is the opportunity to have your personal content on the top ten pages of search engines, due to the page ranks of the directories to which you submit. This means that, without any optimization on your own web pages, you can achieve top ten rankings for your own content, and of course you have links back to your own web page on each of these article pages.

Now, why do I think that this is so interesting for 2007 and 2008? Because the article directories that have page rank 6 and 7 are somewhat careful about the content on their web pages. What this means is that the only way for someone to play in this game is to write their own content. That means that you are on equal ground with everyone else out there, except perhaps the person who is willing to pay a team of people to write their own content but even this content would probably not be as effective as the personally written content. You see, writing compelling copy is a skill that is learned, and I think that most internet marketers will not be willing to go through the process of teaching that skill to paid workers.

I think that another thing that is going to be very interesting for 2007 and 2008 in article marketing is that since article writing is such a laborious task and cannot be reasonably automated, that only the hardest workers of all will be involved in it. This means, in my opinion, that it cannot become abused, at least not with the highly ranked article directories that are responsible for most of the profits derived from article marketing.

I think that for 2007 and 2008, if you are willing to work hard and write consistently for a few hours a day, you can achieve incredible wealth through article marketing. Now, the income itself will not come directly from the article marketing it will come in whatever field of internet marketing that you are promoting and driving traffic to in your article marketing.

So, for example, you might be a list builder I think you can grow huge lists online in 2007 and 2008 using article marketing. Maybe you are a pay per click marketer I think that 2007 and 2008 are going to be great years to send traffic via article marketing to your ppc web sites, and I think article marketing can generate huge returns for you their. I think that anything you do online that requires traffic can be maximized in 2007 and 2008 using article marketing.

Article Marketing is a powerful engine for successful businesses and people from around the world. Why is that? Let put it this way. You need not have to beg people to go to your site.

All you have to do is post good articles on some blogs or other directories and you will just find people whose attention you have captured posting your article on their sites. Make sure to choose a topic that is widely searched in the Internet. Provide content rich articles and easy read ones. It would be so interesting that you would find people linking you to you to their sites.

Just make sure to research and pick topics that would snatch every people interest. You also need to choose article directories that have a huge traffic. The more visitors are there in these directories and the more your articles are published, the more chances of getting traffic to your own site.

Articles will build your credibility as well as your profitability. They offer cheap and very effective means to advertise. They also help in building credentials on the Internet. Before you know it, people are contacting you since they consider you now subject matter expert. That is because of article marketing.

The result and magic brought by article marketing is just overwhelming. Imagine getting thousands or even millions of theme-related sites that are linked to your site. That would keep you getting traffic not just for the day or the month but for many years to come.

Submit Article 101: Get Free Publicity With Article Marketing

Submit Article 101: Get Free Publicity With Article Marketing
By Vincent Abrugar

If you are looking to gain exposure and increase traffic for your website, theres a terrific new way to spread the word about your new spot on the world wide web. A submit article directory is one of the best, free ways to promote your business. The bottom line is that not everyone has the advantage of being able to afford a large marketing campaign, print or television advertising.

If youve ever been browsing through a website and found an article with a brief paragraph at the end, which shows the authors name and a link to their website, then you have already experienced the success of how to submit an article in exchange for free publicity. An internet entrepreneur prepares an article, which is centered around their niche and submits it to a submit article directory. This process begins to work when other webmasters visit the submit article directory in search of articles for use on their own websites. Everyone wants interesting content for their website and this is a great way to find it. They may see this article and decide to add it to their site with the condition that the author is given full credit at the bottom of the feature. The credit will likely include the authors name, brief bio and link to their website.

For each individual who reads your article, there is added potential for new customers. If they werent interested in your specialty, they wouldnt be reading the article in the first place. So, youve already reached someone who has a direct interest in your product or niche. Once they are finished reading the article, they are likely to visit your website if they found the information to be valuable.

Submit article directory services are completely free for writers, as well as webmasters. Consider that you are opening an internet collectibles store and need to gain interest, spread the word and find customers for your new business. Well, you are obviously a collectibles expert since thats your chosen business, so write about it. Select a topic, write a brief feature, offer advice and submit the final copy to a submit article directory. At the bottom, always be sure to include a brief paragraph with your name, some information about your new company and a link to your website. When other webmasters stop by the submit article directory in search of news for their site, they may be inclined to use your work on their website. If they do, they will also include a link back to your site.

Submit article directory services provide the potential for a large amount of increased traffic and exposure for a new, or existing, website. There is no better way to gain respect in your profession than by being knowledgeable about what you do. If you are, it will shine through in your work and people will be drawn into your site in search of even more information. Submit article directory services are one of the most powerful new promotional tools available to online entrepreneurs and, best of all - they dont cost a penny! Its true what they say - the best things in life really are free.

Article Writing How to Use Duplicate Content to Put Your Article Marketing into Orbit

Article Writing - How to Use Duplicate Content to Put Your Article Marketing into Orbit
By Keith Longmire

Article writing and distributing articles is still the best way to increase the web site traffic and search engine ranking for just about any web site. Spend anytime on internet marketing forums though and you will find no shortage of gurus telling you that duplicate content has killed article marketing dead.

Lets get one thing straight duplicate content should be a central plank of your article marketing strategy.

Stop. Shock, horror. An article extolling duplicate content off with his head.

To put a couple of other matters into context I have no patience for the duplicate content generated by the myriad of auto site generators, article spinners or site scraper software. The sooner that sort of content is removed from the internet the better.

Private label rights (PLR) articles have a place in providing useful web site content but have no place in an article marketing strategy.

To see how duplicate content should be used to turbo boost your article marketing an example is in order.

I have a web site on Goal Setting www.goalsetting.jkl.co.uk. Obviously I want to promote that site. Equally obviously I want to use article writing and marketing.

The techniques used in goal setting are very simple and almost universally applicable. So I write an article called something like Goal Setting 5 Techniques That Everyone Should Know. Its a good article fresh, original and packed with good, solid techniques and information.

And it bombs. Very few web sites take it as content. Very little web traffic is generated. What has gone wrong?

There are quite a few reasons. The headline is hardly a benefit laden must read for one. But thats not the biggest issue. The big problem is that while goal setting may be a universal problem all of us think of ourselves as individuals. Our problems are unique. Anyone who doesnt understand my problem cant possible be able to help me.

So if you want your article to be read you have to show that you understand my problem and tell me how your solution solves my unique problem.Goal setting is simple and based on a few universal principals. So wholesale changes to the body of the article are not required. What are needed are changes to make it appeal to specific target audiences.

For instance you could change the title to Goal Setting: 5 Techniques Proven to Transform the Live of Busy Teachers, or Goal Setting: 5 Techniques Proven to Transform the Live of Busy students. Or auto mechanics, accountants, solicitors, chiropractors,There really is no end to the possibilities for making this article call out more to specific target markets.

Simply changing the title/headline alone wont do the trick on its own. You would also need to change the opening paragraphs a little too. How about something like:

As a busy teacher you dont need me to tell you how tough it can be to balance the competing demands of students, parents, colleagues, administration and the curriculum. Every day there are fresh demands, new legislation, new subjects to learn. It is a never ending treadmill. Goal Setting has been proven to transform the lives of teachers just like you

That becomes:

As a busy auto mechanic you dont need me to tell you how tough it can be to balance the competing demands of customers, colleagues, vehicle manufacturers and government red tape. Every day there are fresh demands, new legislation, new subjects to learn. It is a never ending treadmill. Goal Setting has been proven to transform the lives of auto mechanics just like you

You get the idea. The interesting thing is that for a 600 word article you will have only changed 20 or 30 words at most. If the search engine gurus are to be believed that will mean all of your articles will get rejected by the duplicate filter monster. Yet this is simply good marketing practice.

Every marketer has done exactly this since marketing began. You tailor your basic message or offering to appeal to specific niche markets. Every salesman does it pretty unconsciously.

Give it a try. I guarantee that you will get each article on many more web sites and gather much more traffic than you would with the original article. It doesnt take long to do either.

All we need is a little common sense among the article directories.

Why Article Marketing Is Important To Your Online Business

Why Article Marketing Is Important To Your Online Business
By Frank Tello

I'm sure that by now you are well aware that Article Marketing is a very valuable tool that helps you build a very successful business. All you hear now is that you need to write articles to build your business, and how articles will attract tons of traffic to your site. But, do you really know why Article Marketing Is Important To Your Business? In this article I will go over some of the reasons that article writing is so very important.

If you are writing articles for your online business then you already know it is an important tool. One of the main reasons to write articles is to attract quality targeted traffic to your website. What I mean by this is you want to attract people to your site who are interested in what you are selling, or in the information your are making available to them. In other words you would not write an article about The Best Ways To Bake A Cake , and post it in a niche article directory that is about Outside Gardening. That would be a waste of your efforts because you would not generate quality traffic, if any at all by doing that. Remember what ever the topic of your article is, that is the group that you want to make the article available to.

Aside from attracting targeted traffic, your articles will get endless exposure. Once you submit an article and it gets posted in a directory you can only imagine how many people your article will reach. There are many webmasters who surf the web on a daily basis just looking for articles to put on their web sites, blogs or e-zines. And there are virtually thousands of people looking at these websites and subscribed to e-zines. As you can see that alone will give your online business endless exposure.

As well as endless exposure, article marketing gives you fresh content for your own website and or blog. As you add articles to your website or blog you are letting the search engines know that your site is constantly being updated with fresh relevant content. This puts you in good grace with them, which results in a steady climb in the search engine rankings. Simultaneously you are obtaining good quality back links to your site by people who are surfing the directories, blogs, and e-zines. You see they too are looking for fresh content to put on their sites.

As outlined above you can see why article marketing is important to your online business. First of all you get great quality targeted traffic to your site that eventually will get endless exposure for your business. Secondly you will be putting fresh content on your sites that in time will help you gain good search engine placement. Simultaneously you will be building good quality back links by providing fresh content for other webmasters to put on their sites. And finally by following these few very important steps you will be well on your way to building credibility as an Internet Marketer. And being considered an expert in niche is not too bad either. So get writing and build yourself a nice profitable business.

Article Marketing for Niche Marketers

Article Marketing for Niche Marketers
By Sean Mize

Article marketing has become quite popular lately with the internet marketing crowd, and many internet marketers are making a nice income with their article marketing effort.

Now I am assuming that if you are reading this (and you are) that you are a niche marketer or you are thinking about becoming one. Now, let me ask you this, if internet marketers like me can make small fortunes article marketing, why couldnt you make a small fortune article marketing in your less competitive niche market?

You see, us internet marketers, we are competing in a great market, but we have a lot of competition. If you own a little niche market web site like a tennis site or a gardening site, or a chess site, you could be sitting on a literal gold mine if you started article marketing.

So how does article marketing work, exactly?

Here it is, just the basics for niche marketers:

1) Write articles about the topic of your niche marketing web site.

2) Put a link to your main page or to a squeeze page in your articles.

3) Submit your articles to the online article directories that will publish and promote your articles for free.

4) Start over.

It really is that simple. You can use article marketing to drive massive amounts of traffic to your niche marketing web site, and use the articles to create a bond with people on your list. As you write more articles, people will begin to think of you as an expert in your field, and as you write more articles you might just become (if you are not already) and expert in your niche.

My Sales Funnel Theory of Article Marketing VI

My Sales Funnel Theory of Article Marketing VI
By Sean Mize

Then they buy your $5000 product and they open it up one night and start to read the first few paragraphs. Then their favorite show comes on on tv. So they decide to work on your program tomorrow. Then tomorrow their buddy calls and wants to have a beer.

Then the next day they pick up the package again, but they figure they dont need the introduction so they skip to the first chapter. Thinking that is too elementary for them, they skip to the third chapter, where you start talking to them about how to think about a product that the world really needs. And they already know what they want to sell, so they skip that one too. Then their wife (or husband) needs something. Next.

After a few weeks of this they have done nothing, they think your product is worthless because they havent gotten anything out of it and the banana tree in their backyard hasnt started raining million dollar bills yet.

Of course it hasnt. An internet business is hard work.

That is why I would much rather work with someone who already has their foot in the door. For example, in internet marketing, that means I target people who already have a web site, or who are already article marketing because then I have weeded out the dreamers and am only working with workers.

So all of that to explain why I do not like to work with raw beginners. I like to work with people who have already taken some initiative

Article Marketing How to Write an Article That Drives Traffic To Your Squeeze Page

Article Marketing - How to Write an Article That Drives Traffic To Your Squeeze Page
By Sean Mize

First of all, what is an article? An article is a short essay about one limited topic that is directly related to the subject matter of your website. Your articles should range in length from 300 words on up to about 700 words. Most article directories want a minimum of at least 250-300 words, and an article much longer than 700 words may not get fully read.

So how do you decide what to write about?

Start with the topic of your web site. Let us imagine that it is a car web site. Let us even assume that it is a car repair information web site.

Now, make a list of 20 main topics that people might be interested in if they come to your website, for example:

Engine repairs, body repairs, alternator repairs, headlight repairs, etc.

Next, write a list of questions that people sometimes ask you about each of those topics, for example, under engine repairs these are some sample questions:

Does my car need a tune up?, How do I change my spark plugs?, How do I know the timing belt needs replacing?, etc.

Once you have written your list of 20 questions, write an answer to each of the questions you have brainstormed. Each of those answers will become an article and if you have come up with 20 topics and 20 questions each, you have 400 article titles handy.

How to Write the Body of Your Article

One of the ways that you can write your article is to first write down three ways (or more) or ideas that will help answer the question you are asking.

Write 2-3 sentences about each of these ways or ideas, so that you have a total of 6-9 sentences, just answering the question.

Next, write a summary of all of these ideas, using 2-3 sentences to do it.

Add to this summary 1-2 sentences that introduce your question and answer, for example, why is the answer to this question important? Tell why you are writing the article and indicate that you are going to answer the question with 3 main points.

Next, write another, different, but similar, summary and use it as your conclusion paragraph.

At the very end, give people a solid, compelling reason to click through to your squeeze page. I like to use a short, informative, free ebook just like this as a free giveaway, and I use language like this:

To download a free copy of my brand new ebook, How I Use Article Marketing to List Build, click here: (my link is here).

Or I might use language like this: To claim a free copy, To read more information, etc.

The bottom line is I am giving people solid reason to go to my squeeze page, not just a lame to get more info. I am also not a fan of bragging about myself and all my achievements they dont care, the only thing they care about is if I can help them get ahead online (in my case; your niche obviously might have a different need).

Skilled Self Publishing Book Marketing Is Vital For Success

Skilled Self Publishing Book Marketing Is Vital For Success
By Christopher Kyalo

The most common mistake people make when self publishing their books is to ignore marketing until it is too late.

Good marketing is critical in everything and book self publishing is no exception. Yet time and again you will see people going through the entire process of self publishing their books from just an idea to the printed book without giving marketing any thought. The truth is that marketing has to touch every single aspect of your project and influence every decision you make along every inch of the way if you are to be successful.

Marketing has to start with the book idea your are considering for self publishing. You will need to ask yourself marketing questions like, has it been done before, if so, how well did the previous title or titles sell? How was the marketing done. If your idea hasn't quite been done, there must be books that are similar which you need to ask the same questions over and get answers.

Your choice of title is yet another critical marketing decision for the book you are considering for self publishing. If it is catchy title that addresses the most pressing problem of the target market you have in mind, then chances are good that it will sell well.

Even decisions like how many pages you would like your book to be, is a marketing decision. This is because the number of pages and size of the book you are self publishing will influence price and price is one of the key pillars of marketing.

Visit the author's self publishing book strategy blog for more amazing tips, details and valuable resources.

Let's see...19.95 for this program...29.95 for that new and improved tool, 197.00 for this sophisticated software revolution...1500.00 for that system...4000.00 to learn from the masters and become successful on the internet is what is needed, right?

Nope!

All people have the inherited necessary ingredient sitting right on top of their body that they need to become successful at promoting a website.

Its called the brain.

No product, software program, internet guru, internet legend, hype, bs and any of the other associated lies that come in the email every single day is needed to learn successful internet marketing strategies.

All living breathing people have the inherited characteristics to know what is good for them...and likewise...what is not. The brain, the soul and the mind tell people every day how to react to situations. The key is to tap in on this wonderful device and let it work for them. The truth is...most fight that natural urge and wind up doing something totally stupid!

For example...jump onboard with this program...I will make you $10000 within a month! It is known that is nothing but a bald face lie, but sadly, people fall into that trap time and time again, making some slick richer and richer.

Is it not time to stop that insanity?

Good people are milked from their good hard earned money for future promises of Ferraris and mansions every single day, when all that would really be needed is to think for one split second before signing that online agreement.

The universal spirit will inform that it is a lie...time to walk away.

The greatest promotional tool in the world is right in front of the eyes at this moment?

Interested to know what that is?

Thought...what are you reading right now?

Internet Marketing: Secrets of Writing Keyword Rich Articles in Six Easy Steps

Internet Marketing: Secrets of Writing Keyword Rich Articles in Six Easy Steps
By Thomas Murrell

Determining keywords is a critical step in writing articles online for effective public relations strategy. If your articles, blog, eZine, or website do not contain related keywords, surfers will be unable to find your articles when they conduct searches.

According to Sharon Housley the formula is a little tricky - you will need to locate terms that are popular and relevant to your article. These terms may or may not be terms that *you* feel are relevant terms, she says.

The optimal terms in an article should be terms that a potential customer would use when searching for an article with your content that relates to your area of expertise.

In order to achieve success your article should be optimized with terms and phrases that are descriptive, related to your content, and which receive a significant amount of searches.

The caveat, of course, is that you want to find terms and phrases where there is little competition, so you quickly achieve high ranking in the important search engines, according to Housley.

She gives this great formula: relevant + popular with searchers but not with competitors = success

Markets saturated with other sites competing for search terms make it difficult to find quality keywords. Sometimes it is better to optimize for a less popular term, one that is more targeted at your visitor, as it will likely have a higher conversion rate than a less specific popular term, she believes.

So how do you go about it?

Here are 6 easy steps:

Step 1: Brainstorm a list of logical terms and phrases that relate to your area of expertise, product or offerings. This should be done by a number of individuals; sometimes people have very different ideas for search terms and by identifying a variety of people and their search terms you may tap words that hadn't occurred to you.

Step 2: Use free and low-cost tools available online and for download to allow you to expand and research terms that have been brainstormed. The results typically vary with the tools but overall the tools will assist you in determining where to focus your keyword efforts. The tools will often assist with pay-per-click engines, creating expanded, related keywords or phrases that can be bid on.

Examples include:

KeywordTumbler - KeywordTumbler takes existing keyword phrases and generates multiple variations, reordering the words. This allows you to build a large keyword list in seconds. http://www.keywordtumbler.com/

TheDowser - Overture Keyword Tool, Google Keyword Sandbox, Keyword Harvester, Google AdWords report analyzer, Google AdWords optimization tool, log file analyzer, conversion tracking and optimization tool. http://www.thedowser.com/

WordTracker - Wordtracker helps you choose the right internet marketing keywords that will help your search engine placement and ranking. Use Wordtracker for keyword research. Web marketing is all about search engine ranking, and that starts with the proper internet marketing keywords. Get a free keyword report and web site promotion information! http://www.wordtracker.com/

Keyword Suggestion Tools - A handy little tool will show you the results of your query from both Wordtracker and Overture for determining which phrases are searched most often. Enter a search phrase below to see how often it's searched for, as well as get suggestions for alternate (but similar) keywords. http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/

Keyword Ranking Tool - This utility can be used to check search engines for keyword ranking and track search engine ranking for your various keywords over time, which, as you probably know, is critical when doing search engine optimization. http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/

Overture Keyword Tool - After entering a keyword or phrase, Overture provides a list of related phrases that have been searched on. The tool provides a count that indicates the number of times the phrase has been searched on. http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/

Topword Tool - Topword Tool is a free online tool that analyzes a complete web page and counts keyword occurrences, as well as keyword phrases (number in brackets), equal to or above that set in the Minimum Occurrences setting. It supplies a list of keywords and keyword phrases which are most likely to achieve the highest rankings on a major search engine. The tool will also analyze your meta description/keyword and title tags and then, through color coding, inform you of words/phrases which should be included. The main use for this tool is checking your optimization and tweaking existing web sites to rank well. http://www.abakus-internet-marketing.de/tools/topword.html/

Google Suggestion - The Google Suggestion is a new online tool for webmasters. As you type into the search box, Google Suggest guesses what you're typing and offers suggestions in real time. This is similar to Google's Did you mean? feature that offers alternative spellings for your query after you search, except that it works in real time. For example, if you type ass, Google Suggest might offer a list of refinements that include ass fishing or ass guitar. Similarly, if you type in only part of a word, like progr, Google Suggest might offer you refinements like programming, programming languages, progesterone, or progressive. You can choose one by scrolling up or down the list with the arrow keys or mouse. The tool provides a number that indicates the number of searches a specific word or phrase has had. http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en

Step 3: Examine your log files on your own website to see what terms customers are using to find an article or website,

Step 4: Visit competitors web sites and articles and examine their meta tags for additional terms,

Step 5: Use a thesaurus to find related terms, include misspellings of keywords in your keywords, and optimize for various forms of nouns and verbs, including tenses and plurals.

Step 6: Measure your success. Keyword statistics give Internet marketers a way to tap into what is on the minds of Internet consumers. When you can match your marketing efforts to the various ways people locate their items of interest on the net, Housley says potential customers will be streamed to your site like ants to a picnic. Also measure posts to your blog or new subscribers to your Ezine as other ways to measure how successful your effective public relations strategy has been.

Article Marketing Basics

Article Marketing Basics
By Steve John Cowan

Many, many online marketers were severely hit by Googles recent change of policy concerning which websites were acceptable for their Adwords pay-per-click advertising program, and which were not. Indeed, many businesses saw websites that were previously generating tens of thousands of dollars simply become totally ineffective almost overnight, and so its probably fair to say that a sense of panic set in.

In times of panic, doesnt matter in what area of life such a panic occurs, the norm is to turn back to the tried and tested, the reliable method of doing whatever it is that we are trying to do.

In times of panic, reliable is better than risky, ordinary is more comfortable than extraordinary.

This is therefore an ideal moment for those of us who espouse article marketing as an online marketers dream to reiterate again why we take this view.

First, what is article marketing? Nothing more than writing articles concerning any subject under the sun, and submitting them for publication, exactly as I have done with this piece.

Why do those of us who believe in article marketing hold such a view?

Many reasons spring to mind, some commercial, some not so.

The simplest commercial benefit is that it is generally free to get your article published, and then, from the article, you can the ask someone to view your website. This in turn could be a further commercial benefit, depending on what your website is designed to do (i.e. is it selling something, or not?).

Second, you can build content websites, which the search engines absolutely love, by using articles.

Furthermore, its a fact that the algorithms that the search engines use are constantly shifting and changing, and recent testing seems to indicate that having a published article linking back to your site is becoming an ever more effective method of getting your site visited by the search engine spider. This, of course, means that your site should get listed in the search engine rankings much more quickly than was previously possible.

This seems to be true without any reference to what particular kind of site it might be.

For example, testing my free blog site at http://article--marketing.blogspot.com and my non-blog Asia Travel site at http://webbiz99.com/asiatravel seemed to indicate little difference in the results generated.

How about the non-commercial benefits? Well, its a great big boost to the ego to see your name listed as a published writer, no doubt. This then leads to the same phenomenon occurring with the search engines my wife has looked my name up quite a few times recently with Google and found me listed fairly high in the rankings (to her considerable amusement, which is not necessarily good for the ego!).

So, article marketing works, its free and effective.

The only problem is, of course that to conduct a successful article marketing campaign, you need to have articles to submit.

Where to find these articles, how to create them and exactly what to do with them are subjects that I will come back to in my next article.

Article Marketing How Do You Make Money on the Articles

Article Marketing How Do You Make Money on the Articles
By Sean Mize

How can you make money on the articles? Unless you are writing articles to sell them, you're not going to make money from the articles directly. You're going to make money from your web-business. The web-business is going to make you money. The articles are the traffic. The articles, or the article-marketing, creates the traffic that is going to drive your web-business. You can think of article-marketing, or you can think of think of traffic as being the fuel that runs your web-business. The web-business is what makes you money. You make money when you sell things on your website. I've put another step in there and that's List-Building.

I develop a relationship, via List-Building, with people that come to my site. Rather than sending people to a sales page right away, I first build a relationship with people. Then, I find out what those needs are. Then, I direct people towards products that I've create that can meet their needs best. That's what we call the List-Building model, or the List-Building Web-Business Profit Model--that's what I use.

So the way that you are going to make money from the articles is by using the articles to drive traffic to your squeeze page on your web site, then you are going to use your squeeze page to create opt in subscribers, then you are going to actually make the money when the opt in subscribers buy from you.

The articles are the fuel, the squeeze page is the carburetor, and the opt in email list is the catalyst. You actually make money when people buy from you.

How To Write A Compelling Marketing Letter That Actually Gets Read Part 2

How To Write A Compelling Marketing Letter That Actually Gets Read; Part 2
By Mark Satterfield

In my last article I gave you a template for hooking the readers attention. Its important to reiterate that the purpose of the first sentence is simply to get the reader to read the second sentence.

Not surprisingly, the purpose of the second sentence is to get the reader to read the second paragraph. If we can get the reader to read the second paragraph then we have a good chance that theyll go down the entire slippery slope of readership and read the entire letter.

If the focus of the first sentence is to raise a potential problem that the reader may be facing, the goal of the second sentence is to expand on that problem. There are a couple of ways we can do this.

The first is to focus on the reasons why the problem occurs. In some instances the problem that youre communicating is well understood. Its been around for a long time and everyone acknowledges its an issue. Thus simply stating that you too understand the problem, wont earn you much credibility in the eye of the reader.

What will enhance your credibility is briefly communicating why the problem exists. Now I realize that every company is unique, and its impossible to communicate the exact reasons for why a problem exists with anything close to 100% accuracy. However, if youre marketing to a specific niche (which you should be) then there are going to be some common reasons that are shared across companies within a particular group.

By communicating the reasons for why the problem exists, you will demonstrate that your understanding of the issues are deep rather than superficial. An approach I use is the following:

Although the problem is well understood, the underlying issues are often not so readily apparent. For example in many cases we find that the key contributors to this problem include: (A, B, C)

When you create the three bullet points make sure you keep them short and concise. Remember that at this point in the relationship building process what we are tying to do is to raise enough interest so that the reader will do what we want them to do once they have finished reading the letter.

In other situations the challenge may be that the problem you raised in the opening sentence just isnt seen as all that big a deal. If thats the situation, then the second sentence needs to focus on why this issue is important. The way I do that is by communicating what is likely to occur if the problem isnt addressed. The key at this stage is to strike the right balance. You want to raise real consequences of not addressing the problem, while not going overboard and sounding like Chicken Little.

I like to use a bullet point approach for listing the consequences. The bullet points can be set up with a simple statement such as; Unfortunately, the consequences of not addressing this issue can include

If weve done our work correctly, at this point weve got our readers attention. This is the point when we want to shift the focus of the content to What Do We Want To Reader To Do When They Finish Reading The Letter? This is where we make the reader a very compelling and specific offer, which is designed to move the relationship building process to the next step.

And that will be the topic of my next article.

4 Simple Reasons Why Article Writing is an Affordable Internet Marketing Method

4 Simple Reasons Why Article Writing is an Affordable Internet Marketing Method
By Mark Williams

Article writing is the most cost-effective way to drive tons of traffic to your web site. Articles provide hungry webmasters with information and

Information is what drives the internet!

People log on in order to get information about their specific interests. Keywords are the fuel that links all of this information together on the internet. If you take a look at Overtures keyword suggestion tool, you will see the millions of searches done to a certain keyword. When these keywords are typed on search boxes of search engines, indexed websites containing articles with those keywords will be displayed. And this is what leads traffic to websites with keyword-rich articles. Yes, the magic word is articles.

Content is king of the internet and that will never change. That is why article writing is the most utilized Internet marketing media today. Internet surfers just can't get enough of information on various fields. Give them what they want and gain their confidence at the same time by writing articles. Providing information through these articles is a surefire way to drive hot traffic to your web site.

Why is this so? Here are 4 reasons why writing articles can give your Internet business a traffic boost below we will discuss each in depth:

1. Article Writing is Free.

2. Get Indexed Quickly.

3. Acquire Free Back Links.

4. Gain Expert Status.

Article Writing is Absolutely Free If You Have the Time!

If you have the time writing articles does not cost you a cent. Sound too good to be true? Not. Okay, you have to pay for your Internet Service Provider. That's it. All you need is your thoughts, your computer, and your hands. Just put them to use and start cranking out those articles. If you have more money than time you can hire a ghost writer to create your articles. Web Sites like http://www.elance.com can help you find article authors for just a few dollars per article. On which aspect of that process did you really shell out any cent? Maybe later when your electric bills come.

One of the Fastest Ways to Get Your Web Site Crawled and Indexed by the Search Engines.

Submit that article of yours to article directories that get the most web traffic and in no time your web site will be crawled. That is if you don't forget including your resource box or byline.

Why Pay for Back Links? Article Writing Can Get You All You Need.

Content is in such demand that your article(s) is sure to be picked up by other sites in need of quality content. Fresh content is what the search engines like and most web site owners dont want to do it all themselves. When you submit your articles to directories, surely, other websites will make use of your article too. With the copyright terms of your articles, the URL of your website will still be in tact and will subsequently direct more traffic to your website.

Get Expert Recognition in Your Niche.

As an Internet marketer, if you are going to be successful in your niche you must show your potential customers that you are an expert. You have to show that you are knowledgeable on your field. And what better way to show that than by writing articles that will allow you some bragging rights, right?

Just get your creative juices flowing, do some keyword research, and start writing articles. With those benefits listed above, a writer's block is the last problem you will ever be able to surmount. If you want more traffic with little financial investment then article writing is the key to your success.

Why Article Marketing Produces Significantly Stronger Traffic

Why Article Marketing Produces Significantly Stronger Traffic
By Sean Mize

The key with article marketing is that once someone has read your article, if they choose to click through to your website, they have written much already decided that they want more information from you.

Once they get to your webpage, if they do not take the prescribed action my personal opinion is that something and webpage leads them to reject the prescribed action. What I mean by this is that the article marketed visitor is so highly qualified and if the offer on the landing page reasonably matches the content of the article, they are practically ready to take any action that is asked of them on the landing page.

This is in strong contrast to non-prequalified traffic that may arrive at your website via a search engine, a pay per click ad, and e-zine, or any other advertisement that you may do.

You see, there is a progression that occurs when someone searches for something online. They are looking for something specific in the first thing that has to happen is that the title of your article has to match their need. Next, the content of the article has to match your topic of the title of the article. If indeed this is the case, and the reader is still interested in reached the end of your article, and you answered their questions appropriately, and only if this has occurred, then they should click in to your website.

Must maintain the continuity between the title content in the landing page, and if you do just that article marketed visitors should be the very highest quality visitor you can probably obtain.

Article Marketing Where to Find Awesome Article Ideas Your Audience Will Love

Article Marketing - Where to Find Awesome Article Ideas Your Audience Will Love
By Lisa Sparks

The most common question I come across these days is, Where do I get inspiration for article ideas? Frankly, ideas can come to you while youre walking down the street. A recent study revealed that you get your best ideas while your mind is at rest. So when you're riding the bus, driving to work, walking the dog or even reading the newspaper, that article idea will bubble right up to the surface. Youre ready to write.

That sounds a bit simplistic, but it happens just that way for me. I believe that it's not just about resting. You need to give your mind what I call article idea fuel so that when you are ready for a new idea your brain will have something to draw on, something to bring you.

That's why research is so important. Here are a few places I go and things I do to keep my finger on the pulse of my chosen industries:

  • Conduct ezine subscriber surveys.

  • Monitor Web search results.

  • Attend networking events.

  • Visit forums and chat groups.

  • Read industry magazines, books and info products.

  • Of the ways I just mentioned, forums and chat rooms are the quickest places to get ideas. Whatever your industry, it likely has a forum dedicated to it. A search of Google Groups or Yahoo! Groups can turn up hundreds if not thousands of options. You probably already subscribe to a few.

Look at the forum posts differently. Instead of searching just for the information you need, look at what the most popular subjects are. What are the replies to those popular posts? What are people saying?

Gather the forum post info in a spreadsheet. Take a quick browse of the forum, and arrange the information in a format that is easy to review. I like spreadsheets myself, but you may like Word documents or even written flashcards.

Whatever works for you is fine, just get the information in an organized format that you can review over and over again. Why? This gets you in tune with what your audience wants. When it's time to write, you'll seem to pull ideas out of thin air. In reality, those fresh, fast ideas will be the result of your research and hard work in determining what the hot buttons are in your audience.

Return every so often. Dont become addicted to these forums because you can find some really different characters there. But do go back now and then to find out if any new trends are emerging. For me, a good monthly visit to all the hot spots is more than enough.

Heres a final piece of advice on getting ideas from forums: Push the conversation. If you don't see posts that are controversial, active or interesting, stir the pot a bit. Get people talking by throwing down the gauntlet and taking the opposite side of a widely-accepted idea or concept in your industry. That could unearth some awesome article ideas.

Article Marketing Why You Must Persevere With Article Marketing

Article Marketing - Why You Must Persevere With Article Marketing
    By Sean Mize

One of the biggest complaints I get from people who have just started article marketing is that it is not working fast enough for them. You see, article marketing takes time. You cannot just write 10 or 20 articles and get response over night. What I have found is that an article produces over time month in and month out.

This is pretty important to recognize. You see, with article marketing, you are doing one or two things (or both): you are either writing a lot of articles and submitting them to a few high-traffic article directories, to generate immediate direct traffic, or you are writing a few articles and submitting them to a long list of article directories, building backlinks for high search engine rankings.

But in either case, your results will occur over time, over the course of months and years, not days and weeks. Sure, you may notice that your web site goes from a low pagerank to something higher, and often in a short period of time, but in most keyword markets you need multiple inbound links before you see huge levels of traffic to your web site, and that just doesnt happen overnight.

    So you have to persevere.

You have to write a lot of articles, and submit them diligently, even before you begin to see results. I had about 200 articles online before I could claim quantifiable results but now, I am glad that I continued to submit articles, as I make a fulltime income doing just that.

Why Is FREE The Most Powerful Marketing Word You Can Use?

Why Is FREE The Most Powerful Marketing Word You Can Use?
    By James Burchill

As the famous cowboy Will Rogers once said, Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.

So what does that have to do with FREE? Quite a lot really.

Firstly, business is a constant evolution - a process, you simply cannot remain still even if you are in the lead. You need to be constantly improving, constantly evolving and constantly looking for ways to differentiate yourself from the other guy.

    Here's why:

There are essentially three types of customers:

Type 1 was going to become your customer no matter what.
Type 2 will never become your customer no matter what,
And then there is Type 3...

Type 3 customers are sitting in the middle, they're on the fence. They need a little nudging - sure, some will require more nudging than others, but nudging will be required. Type 3 is your target market customer. Type 3 customers represent about 75% of the population so dont worry about missing out on the others.

Now, let's think about this for a moment. You do a great job. You offer fair prices, you excel at what you do and you advertise this. The problem often faced is that the bad companies can hire good marketing consultants and present that same great image - and type 3 customers know this.

Type 3 customers are naturally distrusting of the claims made, so you include proof and other objection defeating tactics and this of course works just fine. However, even with the proof, even with the objections all nailed down, there are still some folks who require more proof, more nudging. The kind that says, Don't tell me... SHOW ME!

So how do you show them? That's easy; you give them a sample, a demonstration, a taster of just how great you really are. You offer them a chance to come and see for themselves - at no risk to them.

Now pay close attention here this is critically important. You're taking away ALL THE RISK so that they can ry before they buy. In other words... it's FREE.

The largest corporations do it. Theyve found FREE so successful they use risk reversal as often as possible, they even offer unconditional money-back guarantees too!

The strongest offers are always ry first, and if you like it then pay and for you this might be a Free oil change, or a FREE tire rotation, or a FREE 21-point seasonal inspection, or some other 'risk reversal' strategy.

With this lead generating, loss leader strategy youre taking a big picture approach and you're buying customers by showing them what they'll get when they become paying customers.

Moreover, if any of your colleagues make strange comments, just remember, this is a risk reversal program. You are giving customers the chance to TRY BEFORE THEY BUY.

In addition, if anyone says something like this to you, Is this really the type of customers you want? I'd say that sounds like a typical Type 1 customer comment (remember type 1's were already in your camp) and more importantly you should answer a resounding Yes!

Just because someone is skeptical, just because someone wants you to make it easy for them to try your product or service before they commit to you doesn't make them a bad customer or a cheap customer. It makes them normal. Its a bit like dating without all the embarrassing bits

And when you 'trust' them with a 'free' introduction, the law of 'reciprocity' begins working - people will want to 'pay you back' for your trust in them. Remember, people only deal with other people they like and trust and this is a great way to start that relationship off on the right foot.

That is why FREE Is The Most Powerful Marketing Word You Can Use because its all about - risk reversal.

7 MustKnow Rules for Article Marketing

7 Must-Know Rules for Article Marketing
    By Hope Wilbanks

If you are just getting started with article marketing, or if you are still learning about article marketing, begin on the right foot. Here are seven simple rules you must know (and apply) in your article marketing campaign.

Rule #1: Make a plan. Before you begin writing articles, sit down and set a few goals for yourself. Know what your purpose is for marketing with articles.

Rule #2: Create a list of directories. Knowing where to submit your articles will save you time. Decide where you'll submit your articles. Create an account at each website and bookmark it.

Rule #3: Gather article ideas. You should never wait until you think you're ready to write a few articles to compile ideas. Jot down ideas you have every day. Keep a small notebook handy to write your ideas in. When you're ready to write articles, you'll have a miniature gold mine of ideas waiting for you.

Rule #4: Write fast. Lots of writers struggle over writing a perfect copy the first time around. Forget about it. Write fast, letting your thoughts flow onto the page. Once you're finished with your draft you can edit as much as you like.

Rule #5: Check spelling, grammar and word count. Before you submit your article to any directory, be sure you run a spelling and grammar check on the document. If you tend to forget to do this, write yourself a reminder on a sticky note and place it on your monitor screen.

Rule #6: Include a well-written resource box. This is the most important, and often most overlooked, part of the article marketing process. Always include a resource box with your articles that creates a call of action to your readers.

Rule #7: Be consistent. You can't write a handful of articles and expect huge results. Article marketing requires persistence and consistency. Plan long-term and you'll start getting amazing results from your article marketing efforts.

Article Marketing Can You Really Generate 500 Visitors Per Day with an Article Marketing and List

Article Marketing - Can You Really Generate 500 Visitors Per Day with an Article Marketing and List
    By Sean Mize

Article Marketing Can You Really Generate 500 Visitors Per Day with an Article Marketing and List Building Strategy?

I will jump right out in the front and give you the conclusion to this article before you read it: I have, and so can you.

Let me tell you how it works.

First, list building stimulates an activity called leveraging your traffic. You can multiply your traffic by as much as 5 times or more, just by list building.

How does that work? The idea here is that if you have 100 unique visitors to your web site from some traffic source, and you simply point them to your sales pages, then everyday you will continue to have 100 visitors. But if on the other hand you point them to a list building name squeeze page, and have them opt in to an email list, where you can mail them several times per week, then over time, you leverage your traffic. I currently operate at about a 500% traffic differential between my original unique traffic and my total unique traffic, and it is list building that makes that happen.

Second, article marketing creates some of the very best traffic for list building, because it is for all practical purposes completely prequalified.

Let me explain. When someone clicks through to your web site from an article, he hasnt just knee-jerk responded to some ad you placed somewhere. He is clicking through because he likes something you put in the article. He likes you style, he thinks you offer good information. But the bottom line is, the person who clicks through to your web site after reading your article is qualified, and wants more information from you.
